Our Story
Richmond’s old bars were more than places to grab a drink .... they were part of our lives.
Bars.leeboy.us was created to preserve the memories, stories, logos, and local legends that made Richmond, Kentucky’s bar scene unforgettable.
From O’Reilly’s Pub and J. Sutter’s Mill to The Family Dog, Phone 3, Tazwell’s, Paddy Wagon, and all the places in between, these weren’t just bars. They were where friendships started, relationships began, questionable decisions were made, and stories were created that somehow got better every time we told them.
Our goal is simple: keep those memories alive.
We create shirts, posters, signs, keychains, memorabilia, and other products inspired by the places Richmond remembers. Whenever possible, we work from original logos, photographs, stories, and local history so the designs feel authentic rather than like somebody searched “1980s bar” on the Internet and called it a day.

Who We Are
This is a Richmond project created by people who actually remember Richmond.
Bars.leeboy.us is part of the Leeboy collection of local history, merchandise, storytelling, and community projects.
The idea grew out of a simple realization: a huge part of Richmond’s social history was disappearing.
Buildings changed. Signs vanished. Businesses closed. Photographs ended up in drawers. And an entire generation started saying things like, “Do you remember that place beside....?”
We decided those memories were worth saving.
So this site is part store, part archive, part reunion .... and occasionally part evidence locker. 😉
More Than Merchandise
Buying something here helps us continue collecting, restoring, and preserving pieces of Richmond history.
We’re also building places where people can share photographs, stories, memories, and those legendary “whatever happened to...” questions that have been floating around Richmond for forty years.
Because eventually somebody remembers.
And usually somebody has the picture.

Richmond Revival
Some towns tear down their history and move on.
We’d rather save a little of ours.
Richmond Revival .... Wear the memories.
This is how we had to recover some of the logos..... and rebuild them :) Some from saved match book covers, some from pictures, some from old t-shirts, keychains etc.
